The Very Best at Being Bad

The stunning and fabulous Ghost is a lifelong friend in both RL and SL.

It is so rare to find her in human form (when she is human, she always looks bad-ass and slightly dangerous) so I couldn't pass up this chance to grab her, coax her hourglass-butt on to a pose stand and capture the moment forever.

Its just as well I did because less than hour later she was back in her beautiful, translucent phantom form, floating ethereally around a gravestone.

Fins are the New Fangs!

I have really loved the past few days escape underwater exploring the Blake Sea... Oh My it is a busy place... So far I have been bashed into by a speedboat, landed on by 3 Bots at once and followed by a rather agressive "lady" that wanted me to be her pet. Yikes.

It is a lovely place to swim though and most people are friendly.

I relaxed under the waves while reading the new book my dear Granny sent me; a copy of Wild Chamber by Christopher Fowler.

I adore his work and have read everything except this and PaperBoy so it will be an enjoyable weekend for me, curled up safe from the cold weather lost in the welcoming, mysterious world of these two elderly Detectives. Bryant is my favorite fictional character EVER, and coming from me, thats saying a lot coz I do love to read.

If you like books about mystery, crime, London or simply need a great laugh provided by one of the most brilliant authors in the world, you should check out the Bryant and May series, like, NOW.

It got me to thinking how much I wish there were elderly avatars in secondlife. Its dull when everybody appears to be in their 20s.
I intend for my avatar to age as I do.

In a skin-deep world it would be fascinating to see and I bet if I met an elderly avatar I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off them! Lets hope I can find that out one day!

That Cyclops Style!

Below the cut is nudity. Non-pornographic, parody, humorous nudity. This is a fair warning so don`t bother crying to me that you had to clutch your pearls and faint theatrically if you choose to go and look.

He never fails to surprise me...

To look at him, you wouldn't think so, but he is a great lover of art and has a ridiculous sense of humor.

He dresses like any other engineer, in blue overalls, rigger boots and a hi viz vest... oops sorry Heath and Safety standards I mean *On Site High Visibility Personal Protective Wear* and he has the most brilliant mind I have ever known.

The best part of my day is when his smiling face appears at the end of the garden path. He arrived home just as I finished the photo below and I asked him if he knew what it was supposed to be and without pause he replied: "Yeah! It`s the Birth of Venus innit! By that Bottled Cherry Artist! I like that one!

I didn't ask if he likes lots of early renaissance artwork, or just this painting because of the pretty naked lady in the picture but it DID make me grin so big that my teefs almost fell out.

I was grinning again 2 days minutes later when he strolled in with a small jar of Opies Cocktail Cherries saying that he had the picture in mind when he bought them.

Monster High Styles... All Grown Up!

I come from a big, busy, loud family. As the only trad housewife in the family, that means lots and lots and lots of babysitting for me, which suits me just fine!

After a hilarious day of looking after a rowdy rabble of 5-9 yr olds I was left with crayon marks to clean up, a new scar on my forehead and a battered looking, lost Frankie Stein doll in my kitchen sink, which got me to thinking, what would these freaky fashionistas look like all grown up?

Feelin` Futuristic

 Although I have never been a big fan of Sci-Fi there have been a select few books which captured my eye, attention and heart.

Right now, I am re-reading Metallic Love. As much as I like a new story, what I really need and want is the same old stories, read over and over again.

The rich descriptions got me in the mood for this futuristic Holo dress and Rainbow hair.

Upper Class Goth

While clearing out my inventory I found this amazing cross headpiece and it gave me the inspiration I needed to create this simple gothic style.

The first time I went to a goth club I was 14. I wore a white lace dress and gold hoop earrings, but those amazing and romantic people took me to their midnight velvet clad bosoms.
They helped me find my own style (minimal military-style industrial, for those of you with inquiring minds!) but socially, I will always be a goth, even if I cannot enjoy wearing the lace and velvet with the same elegant grace as my friends.

Secondlife Shopping!

Yesterday was Friday and Fridays usually mean one thing.... Shopping!

I enjoyed the whole day running around SL looking for unusual outfits and shoes, until I was interrupted by screeching tires outside. 

There was a very drunk woman driving a car in loops out on the icy road. A peek out of the window showed my favorite neighbor calling the cops and it was a real joy to watch the dumb ass getting arrested by two very good looking police officers.

After the dramatics outside in the Real World, I was glad to go back to shopping. I found this very fun pose for just 1L$ from QStyle

Olivia`s Creepy Diner

Yesterday`s Photoshoot and the subsequent editing in GIMP worked me up quite an appetite, so I wandered back to my favorite place in SL, Olivia`s Creepy Diner.

Sometimes you just need a nice juicy Frog Spritzer to refresh yourself with, yanno?

This is the best place to eat or relax in SL. I don`t want my tastes getting too dainty and overly nice or I will turn into one of those plentiful girls who only wear pink and christen themselves Princess. Yeah. You know the type!

Having re-read it for the hundredth time recently, I realized I much prefer the sequel Metallic Love. The protagonist in Metallic Love is much less weepy, whiny and manipulative, and I admire her street smart ways much more.

Tanith Lee died in 2015 and is sadly missed.

For my next book I will be reading Fossil Circus by her Husband John Kaiine.

Post Apocalyptic Peace at Tralala`s Diner

Sometimes in a perfect world it is nice to visit somewhere... Less perfect.

Today I found myself craving tumbledown buildings, overgrown weeds and torn metal, so I took a little trip to Tralala`s Diner, which is a picturesque post-apocalyptic slum of a sim. Just what I needed.

I had spent the best part of the morning helping a really lovely couple de-noob themselves and was ready to relish some time alone exploring.

These pretty jeans were won from the lucky boards at Petite Mort, as was this Free Spirit top, which came bundled with coordinating shorts and sandals.

The hair is by !APHORISM! , acquired at random from one of their gacha machines

Secondlife Mermaid

Here in the Real World™  it is too cold and too many nasty flu germs going around, so I escaped to SL for a few hours and bought myself a Mermaid tail.

I chose the Yabusaka Goldfish Tail because it is compatible with my Slink body, and includes a developers kit. After a bit of editing in GIMP I had a tail and chest cover that I was happy with.... But I was stuck on the beach. No legs = Can`t walk!

Luckily this very handsome man came to my rescue and carried me into the waves and my underwater adventure began...

There are many pretty underwater sims in SecondLife, I recommend starting at the Safe Waters Foundation, a lovely large area in the Blake Sea where you can find all kinds of information and shopping facilities to enhance your experience, even while pirate battles rage on the surface above you!

 I thought it wouldn't be easy to find the perfect makeup to complete my new look, but of course a quick look in my favorite store Booty`s Beauty found me this perfect glittering eye shadow from her Bedazzled pallet.
